In the heart of Contrada Mille Cocchita, at an altitude of 700 metres, Catanoso Genoese Winery preserves the traditions of rural life. On volcanic soils that give our wines their distinctive character and identity, we practise organic viticulture using agro-homeopathic methods, without chemicals in the vineyard or cellar, respecting the vine’s natural cycles.

2025 etna rosso
Surgi
100% Nerello Mascalese from organically grown vineyards in Contrada Mille Cocchita. Alcohol content: 14%. Aged in stainless steel tanks for seven to eight months. The first Nerello Mascalese to express the unique character of this contrada, reflecting the distinctive qualities of its volcanic soil and organic cultivation methods.
2022 etna rosso
Surgi in tonneau
100% Nerello Mascalese from organically grown vineyards in Contrada Mille Cocchita. Alcohol content: 14.5%.
Aged in tonneaux for twelve months.
Another interpretation of Surgi, an experiment in ageing in large oak barrels to explore the wine’s evolution and uncover its secrets through the maturation process.
2025 etna bianco
Aìtra
100% Carricante from organically grown vineyards in Contrada Mille Cocchita.
Alcohol content: 13.5%.
Aged in stainless steel tanks for seven to eight months.
2022 Ancestral Method
Campagnasusù
Sparkling wines produced using the ancestral method, without disgorgement: a rosé made from Nerello Mascalese grapes and a white made from Carricante grapes.
Refermented in the bottle. Modern, effervescent, volcanic.
Alcohol content: 12.5%.
